A Connecticut truck driver who was in trouble with his bosses opened fire on his co-workers Tuesday, killing at least eight people before shooting himself.

The gunman worked at a family-owned beer and wine wholesaler in Manchester, Conn., where a union official called him a "disciplinary problem."
"The union was bringing him in to meet with the company," Teamsters official John Hollis told the Hartford Courant. "He started shooting."
The Associated Press reported that Omar Thornton, 34, was asked to resign and instead opened fire just before 7:30 a.m. This economy is straight killing people.

IF YOUR TIED UP TEXT WITH YOUR FEET

That's what an Atlanta woman did when she was robbed. A woman who was attacked and robbed in her own home managed to use her toes to type a message for help, according to police.

Officers told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik that a man wearing a ski mask broke into a home on Glenwood Avenue in southeast Atlanta just after midnight Tuesday. The woman managed to grab her laptop computer with her feet, hit control-alt-delete on the computer to unlock it. First the woman filled out a form on the 911.com website, using a toe to move the mouse and her other foot to type, according to Petchenik. Then the woman went on Google chat, found her boyfriend and typed “HELP. CALL 911”, she told Petchenik. That's some talented feet.

DENNIS RODMAN INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT IN FLORIDA

Dennis Rodman was involved in a terrible car accident this weekend -- in which his car flipped three times -- but walked away with just a scratch on his finger. According to TMZ the former NBA star was the passenger in a green Range Rover traveling on I-95 in Fort Lauderdale, FL ... when one of the tires blew out. We're told the car flipped three times and Dennis had to be pulled from the car by a few good Samaritans who had stopped to help.

The people who helped pull Dennis out of the wreckage later asked for autographs ... but Rodman politely declined.
