HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS TV SHOW SKINS ON MTV

Skins," MTV's controversial new show about a group of very misbehaved teenagers has aired just one episode, and already it is facing severe criticism, advertising snafus and even possible legal action.

After a damning story about the show ran on the front page of Thursday's New York Times, Taco Bell announced that it would be pulling all of its ads from future airings of "Skins." A spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter the show is "not a fit for our brand," and that they would be moving their ads elsewhere on MTV.
"Skins" (based on the racy BBC series of the same name) is raising red flags within the company due to its potentially objectionable content. According to a story on the front page of today's New York Times, executives at the network have expressed concerns that content in forthcoming episodes could expose the company to charges of child pornography.
Brian Stelter reports that, according to an unnamed source at MTV, executives have ordered cuts to the episode slated to air January 31, which apparently revolves around teenaged Chris gravely (and comedically) inconvenienced by the effects of an erectile-dysfunction drug; the actor playing Chris, Jesse Carere, is 17.
Yet another MTV show I will not watch.

THERE IS A SITUATION WITH KIM WHO'S MORE POPULAR

Who's more popular, Kim Kardashian or Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino. Well according to his manager
Mike (The Situation) Sorrentino of MTV's "The Jersey Shore" is. He recently tried to make a deal, he demanded an outrageous half million dollars up front, UsMagazine.com reported. The broker said that he wouldn't even give that much money to Kim Kardashian.
"His manager's words were: 'The Situation is much larger than Kim Kardashian,'" the source said. "We all laughed."
Sorrentino, 28, has more than just parties and random hookups in Seaside Heights lined up to feed his ego. He also has a gig on "Dancing with the Stars" in the works, which will reportedly rake in $100,000 for the star.
Me personally I wouldn't givre 2 cents to see The Situation or Kim Kardashian. who really cares.

CHELSEA HANDLER TO HOST MTV VMAS

Chelsea Handler  announced Wednesday on her E! talk show that she's hosting the September 12 event, should provide plenty of morning-after quotables for the blogosphere.

"This has been a huge year for hip-hop and rap, and it is well-known that I have the closest ties with these communities -- musically and sexually,"Handler explains. "I am to rap and hippity-hop, what Warren Buffet is to finance, minus the sex."
So good choice or not?

TWO BALD HEADS ONE TEAM

Terrell Owens(notes) has agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals will pay Owens a guaranteed $2 million in 2010, with another possible $2 million in incentives.

Rumors had been running hard about this deal taking place ever since the St. Louis Rams bowed out of the bidding on Monday after showing interest in the 36-year-old receiver. The Bengals had signed Antonio Bryant(notes) to a four-year, $28 million contract in March of this year, but there has been ongoing concern about the veteran's surgically repaired knee. The team's pursuit of Owens would seem to indicate that there's more to that story than we may have heard.
In Cincinnati, Owens won't have to be the No. 1 receiver he isn't capable of being anymore, but he can be a great complementary presence in Cincy's balanced offense. And he will team with Chad Ochocinco(notes) to provide the first receiver rotation in NFL history with not one, but two reality shows on the air at the same time. So they are teammates on the field and off the field at VH1.

LES GROSSMAN TO GET HIS OWN MOVIE

My new hero Les Grossman as played by tom Cruise may soon reprise the role in his very own spin-off movie. After taking the stage as Grossman for a show-stealing performance alongside Jennifer Lopez, Cruise told Marc Malkin at E! Online that he and his producing partners are “working on” the movie right now.
I hope this is true. I watched tropic Thunder when it first came out and thought it was hilarious. He almost stole the show from Robert Downy Jr, playing the black character. I will definitely check this out. Hopefully the story is as good as the character. If you want to see what started it all click the jump for the video.

FUNKMASTER FLEX GETS HIS OWN SHOW

Funkmaster Flex has teamed up with Ford to pimp both a new 2011 Fiesta and his new show on MTV2. Viewers can tune in on May 2 to see Flex put his own personal taste into Ford's new B-fighter, with touches like a new body kit, lowering springs, wheels and a reworked interior. We've even been promised a two-tone paint-scheme will be part of the recipe. At the end of the show, one viewer will have the chance to win the car featured in the debut episode of Funk Flex Full Throttle. Maybe a toned down version of pimp my ride, and by the way I wonder if any of those people still have the cars?

J-LO'S VIDEO DEBUT

J-Lo was a little embarrassed when seeing a video clip of herself from 20 years ago. The clip was from the show Yo MTV raps that started back in the 90's.
