J LO TO JOIN AMERICAN IDOL

Deadline Hollywood reports that J.Lo has inked a deal to become a judge on the tenth season of “American Idol,” replacing Ellen DeGeneres who announced her exit today. The singer-actress would serve on the judging panel with Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi. Negotiations began months ago, but a deal was not finalized until this week.

Lopez was the celebrity mentor on Latin night during the talent competition’s sixth season. She has been busy recording her next album Love?, set for release on her new home at Island Def Jam. A long as she wears that dress she can judge me anytime.

SIMON IS SUPER RICH

Simon is super rich. According to Britain's Sunday Times, which just published a "Rich List" of the U.K.'s top 20 music millionaires, Simon has in fact enjoyed a $61.5 million, or 38 percent, pay raise of sorts over the past year. This is mainly due to Susan Boyle, the runner-up on one of his other massive reality-show ventures, "Britain's Got Talent," who is signed to Simon's Syco Music record label. SuBo's debut album, I Dreamed A Dream, was 2009's worldwide biggest sales phenomenon, selling more than 10 million units to date since its November release.

PANTS GETTING SUED, PANTS GETTING SUED

The General Larry Platt pantas is not only on the ground but now his pants are getting sued. According to TMZ A music company called American King Music claims they funded Platt's recent recording session with rapper/producer Mims for the official full-length version of POTG.

But in the suit, filed in Atlanta, American King claims Larry and his reps, "failed to take care of Platt's obligations." They fail to describe exactly what those obligations are.
Now, American King is suing over the music distribution agreement and expenses related to producing, writing and recording of the single. General go ahead and prepare for war.

Angela’s dad was killed first season she tried out, she had to do six days in jail the second time she auditioned, her 7-year-old daughter has a “debilitating disease” and her 56-year old mom has been missing since the holidays. Ellen has already said she will bring Angela on to her hit talk show. Man I don't know what's worse, hewr story or the movie Precious.
