ANOTHER COOL TOY: JETLEV

Jetlev Flyer ($99,500). This crazy, water-powered backpack uses a 250hp motor and fuel tank at the water's surface to send gallons of the wet stuff up to the seat, where it's blasted back down to the ground, providing a maximum top speed of 22 mph and a maximum height of 28 feet, limited by the hose.
Nice way to waste $99 thousand.

THESE PEOPLE ARE CRAZY

People in Buffalo brave the frigid Lake Erie waters to participate in a Polar Bear Plunge for the Special Olympics.. No way I would do this in a million years.

MONSTER LAKE SWALLOWING NORTH DAKOTA

It's been called a slow-growing monster: a huge lake that has steadily expanded over the last 20 years, swallowing up thousands of acres, hundreds of buildings and at least two towns in its rising waters.

Devils Lake keeps getting larger because it has no natural river or stream to carry away excess rain and snowmelt. Now, it has climbed within 6 feet of overflowing, raising fears that some downstream communities could be washed away if the water level isn't reduced.
Those worries are compounded by another problem: Scientists believe the pattern of heavy rain and snow that filled the basin is likely to continue for at least another decade.

THIS IS SOME REAL FIREWATER

WDTV visits a West Virginia couple who have been experiencing some disastrous problems with their running water.

Ever since Mark and Linda Wilfong drilled their new water well, they've had nothing but trouble. Their tap water now lights on fire and their house reeks of natural gas.
Now that's an ice breaker when company comes over.

WHALE CRASHES INTO YATCH

Looks unbelievable but I hear it actuallyh happened in South Africa off the coast of Cape Town where sailing instructor Ralph Mothes and his partner Paloma Werner were sailing the yacht "Intrepid". Amazing.

COOL PERSONAL SUB

This is way cool. This is the two-person submersible that can descend to a depth of 1,000'. Providing access to underwater features such as coral reefs, shipwrecks, and the sea floor, a completely transparent, climate-controlled 3 1/4"-thick acrylic pressure sphere keeps explorers safe while dipping even into the mesopelagic zone, offering a chance to see exotic, bioluminescent species such as lanternfish. With a maximum speed of three knots, it is powered by a 120- and 24-volt battery bank that provide up to six hours of continuous undersea adventure. The craft is propelled by two 3-hp main thrusters that provide fore, aft, and directional control and two 3-hp vertical/translational thrusters that provide up, down, and lateral control. A centrally located joystick with independent main and vertical/translational thruster controls enables precise positioning near undersea attractions. The craft's dual-pontoon structure and broad freeboard ensure superior surface stability, even in high sea conditions. I'm buying this today.

REAL OR FAKE YOU DECIDE

Guys have a new sport where they are walking on water. I thought Jesus was the only guy to walk on water but they claim that's what they are doing. I don't know but it sure looks real.
