REAL OR NOT SINKING BOAT

Julien Berthier a trickster as well as an artist, Berthier has created a 21-foot sculpture that looks just like a capsizing ship. In fact, it's so convincing that many a boater has stopped to assist.
Berthier says that he's not out to trick the authorities: "There was a misunderstanding like if I had made this piece to have coast guards run to help me even though there was no reason to. It is important to say that coast guards and harbor masters have always been warned and that the piece is not at all about crying to the wolf."

The sculpture bears such a strong resemblance to a real boat for a simple reason: It is one. Berthier cut a yacht in half and then made some serious modifications. The result: When anchored, it looks like a sinking ship. But--and here's the really cool part--it can still glide on the water just like a "regular" boat thanks to an onboard motor.

LAMBORGHINI YACHT

The Mauro Lecci Lamborghini Yacht ($TBA) began as a dream but has become a ridiculously rich reality. Powered by dual high-performance engines and employing Kevlar/carbon construction to keep the weight low, the design is inspired by Lamborghini's legendary rides, offering large windows that recall the air vents of the cars, a pair of rear decks, a large forward deck, a double sofa bed, bar, and entertainment center in the cockpit, a bed and bath with separate shower for the owner, and another for guests.

WHALE CRASHES INTO YATCH

Looks unbelievable but I hear it actuallyh happened in South Africa off the coast of Cape Town where sailing instructor Ralph Mothes and his partner Paloma Werner were sailing the yacht "Intrepid". Amazing.

This is way cool. This is the two-person submersible that can descend to a depth of 1,000'. Providing access to underwater features such as coral reefs, shipwrecks, and the sea floor, a completely transparent, climate-controlled 3 1/4"-thick acrylic pressure sphere keeps explorers safe while dipping even into the mesopelagic zone, offering a chance to see exotic, bioluminescent species such as lanternfish. HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THIS DUMBASS TEENAGER

Apparently Abby Sunderland and her dumbass parents though it would be a good idea for her to travel around the world in a boat by herself. But rescue teams are heading Friday to a remote area in the Indian Ocean to fetch athe stranded 16-year old California sailor girl who lost contact as she tried to circumnavigate the globe in her yacht.
Hey why don't you do normal teenaged stuff like get your drivers license or go to the movies and play on myspace. I hope they charge the parents for the cost of the rescue.

A COOL BOAT BY ARKKI

Apparently designed by Cylons, the trimaran's surface is covered with multilayered solar panels, which power the ship and can bring her up to 8 knots. The hull is made of concrete and reinforced with plastic fibers. It has 1647 feet of interior space and a 1076-foot exterior wood deck.
I will definately pick this up this weekend.

ANOTHER TOY IM ABOUT TO GO PURCHASE

This is the $3.5 million Submarine Powerboat Hybrid. On the powerboat side, it's a heavy-duty, 31-ft. surface-cruiser with an enclosed cabin. Powered by twin 440 hp inboard diesels for a total output of 880 hp, the Hyper-Sub has a maximum surface speed of 40 knots and a maximum surface range of 500 miles.
