The Iowa State Fair in Des Moines was the scene of a number of attacks by a gang of African American youths on white people attending the Iowa State Fair. At the time, police candidly discussed reports that the attackers had hurled racial epithets and talked about “Beat Whitey Night”. Now, police are backing off their original assertions, saying that eyewitness accounts are “not credible”. WOI TV reports as follows on the revised accounts of the weekend violence.
Race relations in this country will never be squashed in my opinion.

Apparently Abby Sunderland and her dumbass parents though it would be a good idea for her to travel around the world in a boat by herself. But rescue teams are heading Friday to a remote area in the Indian Ocean to fetch athe stranded 16-year old California sailor girl who lost contact as she tried to circumnavigate the globe in her yacht.
Hey why don't you do normal teenaged stuff like get your drivers license or go to the movies and play on myspace. I hope they charge the parents for the cost of the rescue.

WHAT DID THREE PEOPLE MURDERED HAVE IN COMMON: THEIR MOBILE PHONE NUMBER

The first owner Vladimir Grashnov – the former CEO of Bulgarian mobile phone company Mobitel which issued the number – died of cancer in 2001 aged just 48.

Despite a spotless business record there were persistent rumours that his cancer had been caused by a business rival using radioactive poisoning.
The number then passed to Bulgarian mafia boss, Konstantin Dimitrov, who was gunned down in 2003 by a lone assassin in the Netherlands during a trip to inspect his £500 million drug smuggling empire.

Dimitrov, who died aged 31, had the mobile with him when he was shot while eating out with a model.
Russian mafia bosses – jealous of his drug smuggling operation – were said to have been behind the killing.
The phone number then passed to Konstantin Dishliev, a crooked businessman, who was gunned down outside an Indian restaurant in Bulgaria's capital Sofia after taking over the jinxed line.
Dishliev, an estate agent, had secretly been running a massive cocaine trafficking operation before his assassination in 2005.
He died after £130 million of the drug was intercepted by police on its way into the country from Colombia.
Since then, the number is understood to have been dormant while police maintained an open file on Dishliev's killing and his smuggling ring.
Now phone bosses are said to have suspended the number for good. Callers now get a recorded message saying the phone is "outside network coverage."
A Mobitel spokesman would only say: "We have no comment to make. We won't discuss individual numbers."
Remind me not to get that phone number, but it could be a case that someone thought the two drug lords worked for the same person and decided to take them both out.

IN THIS EDITION OF CHEATERS: MATT LAUER

The "Today" show host and his wife, Annette, have split amid accusations of infidelity in their 12-year marriage, the National Enquirer reports.
The couple has reportedly been living apart for over two months since Annette accused her husband of cheating on her during his on-site coverage of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, which occurred between February 9 to 26.
Suspicions allegedly arose when Matt not only stood his wife up on Valentine's Day, but also chose to remain in Vancouver for an extended period of time after the "Today" show crew wrapped production and returned to New York.
The 52-year-old married man reportedly "went wild" with colleagues at nightspots and caught the eye of two good-looking Canadian broadcasters.
Back in New York, Annette apparently learned about her husband's flirting with the two women from the wife of another "Today" show staffer. When Matt returned from his trip, he was allegedly confronted by his wife.
Though he denied her accusations, Matt moved out of their home after an explosive two-day fight, according to the Enquirer. Annette is said to no longer be wearing her wedding ring.

The man who plunged to his death in an apparent suicide jump off the Empire State building was a junior from Yale University.
Twenty-one-year-old Cameron Dabaghi from Austin, Texas, jumped from the 86th floor Tuesday. That floor has an observation deck open to the public.

He was dead when rescue workers arrived at the 102-story skyscraper shortly before 6:30 p.m.
The university said in a statement that it was extending support to the student's family and friends, and making counselors available.
The Empire State Building is the third-tallest building in the United States. More than 30 people have committed suicide at the building since it opened in 1931. The most recent was believed to have been in 2006. Remind me that it can never get that bad. i'm never that mad at myself that I need to kill myself

SISTERS FIGHT OVER LOTTERY JACKPOT

Sisters are fighting over a $500,000 lottery jackpot. Theresa Sokaitis, 84, of Middletown, and Rose Bakaysa, 87, of Plainville, haven't spoken to each other in years. A trial over how the winnings should be split -- or whether they should be split at all -- began Tuesday.

At issue is the ownership of the prize money. The sisters often used to gamble together, and had a contract that stated they would split all their winnings. And they better hurry up before both of them dies and the state claims your money.

BLACK PEOPLE GET OUT!

Wal-Mart officials are looking at security tapes after an announcement was made for "all black people'' to leave a store in South Jersey. A man used the public-address system at the Route 42 store in Washington Township Sunday night and calmly announced: "Attention Wal-Mart customers: All black people leave the store now.''

Patricia Covington and Shelia Ellington were inside the store when it happened and told the Courier Post that customers and store employees looked stunned when they heard it.
"In 2010, I want to know why such statements are being made because it flies in the face of what we teach them [our kids] at home, and that's tolerance for people," said Ellington.
Ellington and other customers let store management and police know they were upset.
They asked the store to use the same announcement system to apologize to customers that night, which they did.
Then the manager said probably to himself I'm glad someone made that annoucement. I don't know let me stop.

WHAT ARE THEY TEACHING IN LA

Three Los Angeles elementary school teachers accused of giving children portraits of O.J. Simpson, Dennis Rodman and RuPaul to carry in a Black History Month parade have been removed from their classrooms, a school district spokeswoman said Wednesday.

Children from other classes at the school displayed photos of more appropriate black role models, such as Nelson Mandela, Harriet Tubman and President Barack Obama, Los Angeles Unified School District spokeswoman Gayle Pollard-Terry said.
The incident occurred Friday at Wadsworth Avenue Elementary School in South Los Angeles, where the student body is more than 90 percent Latino.
District Superintendent Ramon Cortines placed the teachers — all white men who teach first, second and fourth grades — on administrative leave on Tuesday while an investigation is conducted, Pollard-Terry said.
If your gonna make a mockery of Black history month you sure did pick the right people.

A Delta Connection flight from Rochester, N.Y., to Atlanta was canceled after an altercation between two flight attendants. Yes you heard right the flight attendants got into a fight and the pilot kicked everyone off the plane.The flight was operated by Memphis-based Pinnacle Airlines.

A Pinnacle Airlines spokesman, Joe Williams, told the Associated Press the spat erupted just as Delta Connection Flight 887 returned to the gate Thursday morning after a passenger became ill.
YNN Rochester, a cable news Web site, quoted a passenger, Steve Mazur, who said the two female attendants "got into a fistfight on the plane. The pilot decided to kick everyone off the plane. Yeah like I said, you can't make this shit up.

Strippers now have a legitament answer when you asked them why do they continue to strip. They can just say they are practicing for the olympics and making money @ the same time. Ania Przeplasko, the founder of the International Pole Dancing Fitness Association and others are pushing for the “sport” which definitely takes some strength and agility to be approved by the Olympic committee just in time for the 2012 Olympics in London. The group cites sports like tug or war, the Equestrian evens and curling as past/current Olympic sports that nobody care about but still get airtime. who cares I just want to see the outfits.

JAYSON WILLIAMS GETS 5 YEARS

Jayson Williams was sentenced to 5 years in jail for his role in the shooting of his limo driver back in 2002. Under the terms of the sentencing, he will not be eligible for parole until 18 months. I say he got off easy.

WATCH OUT FOR KILLER HOTDOGS

It may sound funny but it's no laughing matter according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. Hot dogs need to come with a warning label — not because of their nutritional risks but because they pose a choking hazard to babies and children.

Better yet, the academy would like to see foods such as hot dogs "redesigned" so their size, shape and texture make them less likely to lodge in a youngster's throat. More than 10,000 children under 14 go to the emergency room each year after choking on food, and up to 77 die, says the new policy statement, published online today in Pediatrics. About 17% of food-related asphyxiations are caused by hot dogs.
