HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER CONVICTED OF PROSTITUTION

When school teacher Solona Islam got caught in a financial bind she turned to the world's oldest profession, hoping it could bail her out. Instead she lost her dream job as a teacher and needed to be bailed out of jail after being arrested for prostitution.

"I was scared more than anything else because I was thinking of my son. If I do go to jail, what am I supposed to do?" she said.
According to Islam she went on a date through an escort service. When she was offered more money to have sex, she said yes. The guy turned out to be an undercover cop.
She says credit card debt and the cost of caring for her 18-month old son caused her to make a bad decision.
"I can't even describe what I've been thinking the whole week, just pure pain," she says.
Islam was an algebra teacher at McClellan High School, the same school she had graduated from as valedictorian.
She pleaded guilty to the prostitution charge and paid the $640 fine, then waited to hear what school official would say when they found out. She also felt like she let her students down. adding, "I just love everything about my job, and love my students more than anything else in the world
I wonder if she gave a student discount.

TEACHER GETS FIRED FOR BLOG POST

A high school English teacher in suburban Philadelphia who was suspended for a profanity-laced blog in which she called her young charges "disengaged, lazy whiners" is driving a sensation by daring to ask: Why are today's students unmotivated — and what's wrong with calling them out?

As she fights to keep her job at Central Bucks East High School, 30-year-old Natalie Munroe says she had no interest in becoming any sort of educational icon. The blog has been taken down, but its contents can still be found easily online.
Her comments and her suspension by the middle-class school district have clearly touched a nerve, with scores of online commenters applauding her for taking a tough love approach or excoriating her for verbal abuse. Media attention has rained down, and backers have started a Facebook group.
"My students are out of control," Munroe, who has taught 10th, 11th and 12th grades, wrote in one post. "They are rude, disengaged, lazy whiners. They curse, discuss drugs, talk back, argue for grades, complain about everything, fancy themselves entitled to whatever they desire, and are just generally annoying."
And in another post, Munroe — who is more than eight months pregnant — quotes from the musical "Bye Bye Birdie": "Kids! They are disobedient, disrespectful oafs. Noisy, crazy, sloppy, lazy LOAFERS
She also listed some comments she wished she could post on student evaluations, including: "I hear the trash company is hiring"; "I called out sick a couple of days just to avoid your son"; and "Just as bad as his sibling. Don't you know how to raise kids?"

Munroe did not use her full name or identify her students or school in the blog, which she started in August 2009 for friends and family. Last week, she said, students brought it to the attention of the school, which suspended her with pay.
To be honest I think she is right. These high school kids need their ass whipped. Then maybe they will rrealize they are not special.

 A teacher from the Bronx, New York has been removed from her postion after this video emerged of her at an open mic event talking about how she used to have sex for money and comparing teaching to having sex with her boyfriend.
The city Education Department learned of Petro’s past from a post this month on TheHuffingtonPost.com, in which she claimed she was also a craigslist.org hooker from October 2006 to January 2007. Petro, a public school teacher for three years, has been placed on administrative duties.
Only in new York. How stupid can you be. If she is that dumb to think admitting all that was a good idea she doesn't need to teach anyone's kds.

MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO: ANOTHER KKK REENACTMENT INCIDENT

Another Metro Atlanta teacher has been involved in a KKK reenactment controversy. This time the incident happened at a Gwinnett County middle school.

Sweetwater Middle School teacher Stephanie Hunt was told to report to Human Resources after school officials said she allowed students to dress up like KKK members.
School officials said Hunt told her eighth grade class to choose a period in history and act it out for a class project.
The students were in the hallway wearing the KKK robes, when another teacher saw them and reported it.
If we not backwards here in Georgia, I don't know what backwards is. Of all the time periods evereyone knows the whole slavery  KKK issue is very sensitive because things are still going on till this very day. Now it's just the police doing it. Hint Arizona

WE CRAZY BACKWARDS HERE IN GEORGIA

North Georgia teacher Catherine Ariemma made news after she allowed her students to wear white robes resembling those worn by the KKK when she staged a reenactment in her classroom. It was meant to be a history lesson for her students, but instead, it sparked controversy.

Now, Ariemma awaits a decision about her future from the Lumpkin County School Board. She joined FOX 5 on Tuesday to talk about what happened in her classroom, and what it might mean for her career.

WAS THIS WRONG

Right idea wrong place and time. I understand it was in all fun but teachers need to realize that somethings are just not good for the kids to see. Like I always say adults do not need to be friends with kids especially teenagers. There will always be some sort of misunderstanding surrounding it. Besides if you are an adult what the hell are you doing hanging out with teenagers anyway? I mean what do you have in common? What will you talk about besides clothes, music, movies and who is trying to date who in school. But then again some of you adults act worse than them around the office.
