NEW HOTEL HAS DEATH RAY

According to the U.K. Daily Mail, the powerful beams of Nevada sunlight reflecting off the Vdara hotel in Las Vegas onto sections of the hotel's swimming pool area have burned some guests and have melted plastic bags.

The building's concave design creates a sort of magnifying-glass effect. The hotel's designers reportedly anticipated that ill-situated humans might experience some discomfort courtesy of the building's blinding glare, so they placed a film over the glass panes of its many windows. Obviously that didn't quite do the trick. So for now the hotel is placing larger umbrellas in the pool area while designers try to come up with another remedy. Hey I guess you can go on vacation and com back worse than when you left.

Chad Ochocinco wants you to have breakfast and sex in the morning. No not really but the phone number on his cereal box is supposed to connect callers to Feed the Children, which benefits from sales of the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver’s cereal. But the box has the wrong toll-free prefix, meaning callers get a seductive-sounding woman who makes risque suggestions and then asks for a credit card number.
Well I think someone will get fired over this.

CHECK OUT THE REAL CROCODILE HUNTER

Chito rescued Pocho the crocodile nearly 20 years ago in Costa Rica after finding him on the side of the road with a gunshot wound to the eye. Chito cared for the animal until it was healthy again, but when he tried to release Pocho back into the wild, the croc wouldn't have it. Apparently, Chito's affections won over the massive reptile, as it followed him back home, and has been with him in the two decades since.

NOW THIS IS HOW YOU SET AN EXAMPLE

A video, recorded two weeks ago, shows coaches from the Pearland Hurricanes charging across the field to trade punches with coaches from the Pearland Patriots.

“But the tape doesn’t show what happened to my son,” said Nelson Croasdaile, who used to serve as head coach for the Hurricanes.
League officials suspended him for the season following the brawl.
“I was just trying to protect my son,” he said.
Croasdaile said, just prior to the brawl, his son, who plays for the Hurricanes, was involved in a small altercation with a player for the Patriots. He said that’s when one of the Patriots coaches lifted his son into the air and tossed him about four or five yards.
NOw this is how you set an example for the kids, let's fight it out and ask questions later.

MODEL MIX UP HEY YOUR THE WINNER I MEAN SORRY YOU ARE THE LOSER

Amanda Ware has been crowned Australia's Next Top Model, but not before a major blunder on live TV which saw host Sarah Murdoch announce the wrong winner.

Model-turned-television host Murdoch originally named Kelsey Martinovich, 19, as the winner but minutes later she was told via her earpiece feed that the actual winner was 18-year-old Ware.
Martinovich had already made an acceptance speech before a close-to-tears Murdoch realised a mistake
had been made.
"I don't know what to say right now. I'm feeling a bit sick about this," Murdoch told the live studio audience.
"I'm so sorry, oh my God, I don't know what to say.
"This is a complete accident. I'm so sorry ... It's Amanda. I'm so sorry."
Murdoch, holding her head in her hands, said the original name was fed to her wrongly
Can you say embarrasing. I bet 19 year old Kelsey Martinovich had egg on her face.

3 PEOPLE KILLED DURING BULLFIGHT

Colombian tradition turned tragic on Sunday when a bullfight spun out of control, leaving three people dead and at least 37 injured.

The local bullfight in the Andean community of Sabanalarga is known as the "corraleja", bringing together bulls and local residents in a party-like atmosphere.
Sunday's event, however, took a violent turn as onlookers spilled into the ring and found themselves being chased and gored by bulls.
A 20-year-old man was killed during the event, but the other two fatalities, both men in their forties, occurred in the hospital as a result of their injuries.

You must be cazy to step in the ring with a bull. Hey if it's not on my plate I ain't wrestling with it.

MY FAVORITE CAR; ASTON MARTIN N420

The goodies are pouring in for the suitably fast-approaching Paris Auto Salon. The latest comes courtesy of Aston Martin, which has announced its new V8 Vantage N420 Roadster.

Like the N420 coupe announced in July, the N420 Roadster is inspired by the marque's victories at the vaunted Nurburgring race track in Germany. It packs the same standard 420-horsepower V8 as the standard model, and fits the optional Sport Pack suspension as standard, plus a sport exhaust system, new wheels, aero package and a reduced weight. Prices are pegged around $145,000, available with either a manual or Sportshift automatic.

THE RACISM IS EVERYWHERE:MAN WINS 1.5 MILLION LAWSUIT AGAINST DEBT COLLECTION COMPANY

Bank of America has fired a debt collection agency after several of its operators were caught using racist and obscene phone calls to collect debts from bank customers.
"What's up, you f---ing n---r?" said one of the collection agents in a message to 32-year old Allen Jones of Dallas, who owed $81 on his Bank of America credit card

Jones said the calls continued even after he told the debt collection company he had paid his credit card bill.
The calls came from the Harlingen, Texas office of Advanced Call Center Technologies. ACT is a Philadelphia-based company that provides collection services for a number of major corporations.

Jones saved the taped messages and hired lawyers to sue ACT. A jury in Texas found the both the debt collectors and the corporation responsible and awarded Jones more than $l.5 million.

MONSTER LAKE SWALLOWING NORTH DAKOTA

It's been called a slow-growing monster: a huge lake that has steadily expanded over the last 20 years, swallowing up thousands of acres, hundreds of buildings and at least two towns in its rising waters.

Devils Lake keeps getting larger because it has no natural river or stream to carry away excess rain and snowmelt. Now, it has climbed within 6 feet of overflowing, raising fears that some downstream communities could be washed away if the water level isn't reduced.
Those worries are compounded by another problem: Scientists believe the pattern of heavy rain and snow that filled the basin is likely to continue for at least another decade.

BENTLEY HAS A RECALL

Luxury carmaker Bentley is recalling 820 cars worldwide over fears that its famous "Winged B" hood ornament could injure people in an accident because it might not properly retract.

Bentley Motors' European head office in Berlin said Thursday the recall affects 620 cars in the United States and Canada and 200 in Europe who added the raised hood ornament as an option on Arnage, Brooklands and Azure models made between October 2006 and March 2009.
The company says no injuries have been reported but a Bentley dealer noticed the spring mechanism under
the ornament has a tendency to corrode and might not always function properly.
The fear is that if the hood ornament does not retract, it could increase the risk of injury to a pedestrian in the event of a crash, the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on its website. Maybe it's not such a bad thing to hit by a Bentley ornament. You could end up with a good payday.

CAN YOU TEXT, IF SO WIN $100K

Finalists in the 2010 LG U.S. National Texting Championship in New York City will endure blindfolds, complex phrases and marathon texting during the event. The grand prize includes a donation to the charity of the winner's choice and a cool $100,000.

The finalists have already messaged their way through preliminary competition, such as on-site texting challenges at concerts, text alerts on TV shows or texting from online tournaments.
Incidentally, the competition is scheduled to take place the same day the U.S. Department of Transportation hold a summit on distracted driving.
In January, federal safety regulators proposed a set of guidelines for states to create laws that would ban text messaging while driving.
A ban on texting behind the wheel has already been enacted in 19 states and the District of Columbia. Seven states have banned the use of all handheld devices while driving.
LG has launched a program called Text Ed, which advocates safety with texting.
Last year, more than 250,000 participants young and old entered the national battle of texterity.
The final four contestants endured an exhausting battery of drills -- including texting while human emoticons attempted to distract the finalists. Competitors were judged on both accuracy and speed.
One failed to accurately text "Which wicked witch wished which more wicked witch in the well?" while a human emoticon talked trash about her sister.
In the end, 15-year-old Kate Moore of Des Moines, Iowa -- who said she texted more than 400 times a day -- took home the $50,000 grand prize.

CIVIL RIGHTS PHOTOGRAPHER A SNITCH FOR THE FBI

Ernest Withers, a revered civil rights photographer who captured iconic images of Martin Luther King Jr. on the night King was shot in Memphis, actually played a different role the day before: FBI informant.

The Commercial Appeal, a newspaper in Memphis, just completed a two-year investigation that reveals how Withers provided the FBI with details about where King was staying and information on his meeting with black militants on April 3, 1968 — the day before the assassination.
Withers' spying, however, extends far beyond the slain civil rights leader.
The Commercial Appeal found FBI reports indicating that Withers collaborated for years with FBI agents monitoring the civil rights movement. Those FBI reports, the paper's Marc Perrusquia writes, "reveal a covert, previously unknown side of the beloved photographer.  Click here for the rest of the article.

EVEN REPORTER INES SAINZ ADMITS THINGS HAVE BEEN BLOWN OUT OF PORPORTION

The media has this story completely wrong. They make it seem like Sainz filed some kind of complaint but in her own words she completely ignored the comments and was ready to let the whole situation go. It's the media and some women's rights groups that are try to force the issue and make something out of nothing.

WOMAN HAS WORLDS LARGEST BREAST REMOVED

Sheyla Hershey -- who was trying to achieve fame for having the largest breasts in the world and has had over 30 plastic surgeries -- was plagued by severe infections and high fevers after her most recent implant surgery in Brazil in June 2010.

Because implants as large as Hershey’s are illegal in the U.S., the Brazilian-born Houston, Tex., resident went to her home country earlier this year for the surgery.
But after the operation, Hershey became seriously ill and has since been closely monitored by a cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Ron Bucek, and an infectious disease expert, Dr. Shazia Gill, in Texas.
Before Thursday's surgery to remove the implants, Bucek performed two other operations to help drain the infected areas, and a special vacuum had been suctioning the infection from Hershey’s body 24 hours a day for months.
I like big titties too but damn.

STOLE A HOTEL TOWEL, THERE'S AN APP FOR THAT

Hotel guests have plenty of places to register their displeasure with a stay but now hotels and other resorts in the UK have their own recourse, a new database called GuestScan that launches this week. Around 10,000 hotels and B&Bs are expected to sign up to for the subscription-based database which will let hotels check out guests before they get to the hotel. The information in the database will show infractions like stealing towels, breaking things and general bad behavior. Businessman British businessman Neil Campbell came up with the idea after a friend who owned a B&B suffered a "visitor from hell". The service is launching in the UK and offenders can stay on the list for two to four years.
Man you can even steal towels anymore.
